Focal points and main thrusts of research:
extraction, supercritical fluids, hydrothermal processes, high pressure phase equilibria, development of measurement devices
Introduction:

The group works in various fields somehow related to sub- and supercritical fluids. A non-complete list of interest: separation of optical isomers, enzyme catalysis in supercritical CO2, high-pressure phase equilibria including the development of novel equipment and procedures, aerogel drying, filling nanotubes, ionic liquid in sc fluids. Starting from 2013 we also actively participated in the industry-focused optimization of plant extractions, recently, especially interested in the valorization of plant-based industrial side products. We work as well on high-pressure, high-temperature water-based processes for partial degradation of biomass by-products and polymers.
