MSc in Chemical Engineering (2024)
Length of study: 4 semesters
Program objectives:
Chemical engineer MSc students get a high level knowledge in natural sciences, engineering, informatics and economics as well as in humanities making them suitable to carry out R&D tasks and high level management activities in chemical and related industries.
Curriculum of Chemical Engineering MSc - General subjects

The general subjects are grouped into different modules. The categories are indicated by their abbreviations after the subject name.
Subjects that are not indicated with the abbreviations are mandatory (4 subjects, 16 credits, and the Thesis I. and Thesis II., 30 credits).
The rule for the selection of the different subjects for the individual modules is the following:
- Natural Science module (NS):
from 5 subjects the selection of 4 is mandatory
- Social and human module (SO):
from 4 subjects the selection of 3 is mandatory
- Professional knowledge (PK):
from 2 subjects the selection of 1 is mandatory

Compulsory Languages - these courses cannot be counted for the specialisation credits
In general, two semesters of English are required. However, students can earn an internal language certificate during the English for Chemical Engineering 1 or 2 courses by passing additional tests. Those who receive the certificate will not need to do any further English courses, if any. Once you have obtained the internal language certificate, submit the E024 Neptun request for the accreditation.

The Hungarian courses are mandatory only for the students supported by the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship who applied for the complete study. It is not needed for part-time students.
