| Focal points and main thrusts of research: | As we are a fermentation
pilot plant laboratory, the focus of our interests and research are on applied
microbiology and related applied sciences. Technological questions and
developments are our main research and sometime we supplement this route with
fundamental research to better understand interactions between factors
influencing and determining technological aspects. Our goal is to extend our
applied researches to have wide ranges of technology know how in as many
bioprocesses as possible. According to these, we are rather contracted research
dependent, than grant applications. |
| Introduction: | Our Fermentation
Pilot Plant researchgroup was founded by a pioneer professor László Nyeste, who
was responsible together with his most famous disciple prof. Béla Sevella to
start the Hungarian biochemical engineering education. Both professor had
technology point of view and their joint success was to obtain the pilot
fermenter with a total volume of 300L. They become first professor emeritus,
but soon leaved almost together. Since that in 2014, the researchgroup was
rejuvenated, under the leadership of a young associate professor, it consists
of an emeritus associate professor, a post doc, 3 PhD student and a PhD
applicant out of the two technicians. |
