The aim of this subject is to introduce some basic phenomena and laws of physics systematically, to show their interrelations and their connections to other sciences and technics, in order to well establish the physical world view of the students. In Physics K1A mechanics is studied in this respect. The subject also aims to develop the students’ ability to draw up problems, set up models, and solve problems. In the laboratory exercise the students are introduced in the basics of measuring techniques and measurement evaluation methods. The experiments and measurements also serve as demonstrations of the most important fields of classical physics.
