Aim of the subject:
The main aim of the subject is to help the students develop a bio and eco-engineering view when dealing with biotechnologies based on environmental microbiology; furthermore to get familiar with the natural biological – microbiological – processes substantiating these technologies.
Within this topic the focus will be on the ecosystem, especially on soil moreover role and importance microorganisms, on the utilisation of the microbiological processes in the environmental technologies, mainly in the bioremediation of contaminated environmental elements (soil, sediment, sludge).
