Aim of the subject:
The purpose of teaching this subject is to provide an overall view of quality-related knowledge and the practical aspects of quality in the light of the practice of the European Union. Students will be introduced to the major components and means of quality management, quality control and quality inspection. Quality inspection tests, the role of accreditation and certification as well as the steps taken until now in the area of EU law approximation will be discussed in detail with special regard to product liability and consumer protection requirements. Students will be acquainted with the R&D framework programs of the European Union, and their impact on the quality of products and services.
